Iran’s parliament will vote on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by mid October, said Deputy Head of Social Committee of Iran’s Parliament Farajollah Arefi reported ISNA.
“Iran is an independent and self-reliant country. The legal formalities for approval should be conducted in the parliament. Therefore, decisions would have been made by October 18.” He added.
The parliament decided on Sunday to give it self more time to review a resolution that would conditionally” allow the Rouhani administration to implement the deal.
the Iranian parlimanet pays special attention to the countrys national intrests and strengthened defense capabilities in the process of ecaluation the finalized text of comprehensive nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers, parloment speaker Ali Larijani said.
Larijani underlined that in reviewing the JCPOA, the parliament will consider the need for vigilance in the face of foreigners lest they take advantage of the deal and pose a threat to the country’s national interests.
Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia – plus Germany finalized the text of the JCPOA over Iran’s nuclear program in the Austrian capital of Vienna in mid-July.
Under the JCPOA, limits will be put on Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for, among other things, the removal of all economic and financial bans against the Islamic Republic.
