Etihad Airways affiliate Air Berlin is introducing a business-class cabin on its European and domestic network that further aligns its product with its premium strategy.
As usual among European airlines, the carrier will not use specific business-class seats, but will keep the middle seat free. Passengers will be offered a free welcome drink and an a-la-carte menu, as well as priority boarding and lounge access.
To note, other partners of Air Berlin include the Italian flagship carrier Alitalia, which is being restructured with the support of Etihad. Analysts regard, that “friendship” of Air Berlin and Alitalia will increase their share at the European market.
