The second phase of expansion of LOPOTA tourism complex has been completed in Kakheti Region with the support of Partnership Fund. The renovated complex is ready to host tourists.
The top-class hotel complex inauguration cereony was held on the territory of LOPOTA Spa Resort. Kakheti Region governor Irakli Kadagishvili, Partnership Fund executive director David Saganelidze, representatives of Partnership Fund, banking sector, business companies and local municipalities and other officials attended the ceremony.
As a result of the project implementation, LOPOTA SPA Resort has gained a new 84-suite hotel, administrative building, 600-seat events hall, restaurant, bungalow, fitness club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Partnership Fund has invested 5.4 million USD in the second phase implementation. The third phase of the project calls for building Chateau Buera on the complex territory which will combine winemaking company and restaurant.
“With the support of Partnership Fund, renovated Lopota tourism complex will gain more importance and make positive effect in terms of employment of local residents and growing revenues. Tourism infrastructure promotion is one of the strategic directions for partnership Fund and I am happy that the Partnership Fund team has taken part in developing one more tourism facility. The country will have much bigger international-standard tourism location that will attract foreign tourists and foster development of domestic tourism too”, Partnership Fund’s executive director David Saganelidze said.
Lopota Resort construction works were performed by CIC company, while construction process was supervised by Colliers company and interior-exterior works were performed by Architectural Orchestra company. Total investment value of the project made up 20 million USD, including 7 million USD was allocated by TBC Bank.
