“Dusheti should become a tourist destination” – Maia Tskitishvili stated at the economic conference “Georgia and the World in 2019”. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure implements several projects in different directions in Dusheti to attract private sector.
“There are more than 40 houses in the central district, from which 24 has a cultural heritage, and we plan to rehabilitate them. Also, here is a very interesting object, so-called Chilashvili’s Palace, Chateau-like building, which is sadly abandoned today.
Our vision implies that only the state, without the participation of business, certainly cannot provide the development of the regions. Therefore, with the help of Business Association, we plan to organize the event where we will offer private sectors with the information of unknown buildings that are very interesting for tourism, including Chilashvili’s Palace, as well as Borjomi Museum, “said Maia Tskitishvili.
Implementation of these projects will facilitate the development of tourism infrastructure in the surrounding area, which in turn will increase the employment opportunities of the local population.
