Gomarduli ski resort development will be resumed in Adjara Autonomous Republic. As reported, for 6 years the resort had been seized.
Gomarduli resort director Jemal Darchidze told the Commersant that by the Prime Minister’s resolution and with the support of Adjara government, 1.5 million GEL debt was written off from the company in January 2019 and the property seizure was abolished.
The company will follow the 3-year development strategy. As a result, Gomarduli will be able to host 1000 visitors simultaneously. Certain changes will be made to the architectural project of the resort and construction works will be launched after this, Darchidze said.
The project calls for constructing several cottages, arranging a stadium and extreme park on 12-hectare territory. Investments value is 300 000 GEL. Adjara Government holds a 10% stake in the resort
At this stage the resort includes 5 guesthouses and a restaurant and the resort is able to host 60 visitors simultaneously.
