Tbilisi Mayor: Tbilisi will Have 3D Map

Tbilisi will have its own 3D map in the near future, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze noted at the Tbilisi government meeting.

Tbilisi City Hall has announced tender for implementing the mentioned project and the winner company started working on March 1, Kakha Kaladze said.

“Soon Tbilisi will have 3D map and our citizens will be able to see it. For implementing this project we had announced tender and the winner company started working on March 1. The final product will be submitted to the city hall in July. Various municipal offices will use the mentioned date in their activities. Unlike Google map, the mentioned 3D map will enable to measure various parameters”, Tbilisi Mayor noted. 

Tbilisi 3D map will be accessible on the website: maps.tbilisi.gov.ge, he added. 

“Moreover, one more important product is being developed on 516 square meter space. Tbilisi orthophoto plan. Total value of both projects is 1 million GEL. We believe that renovation, especially 3D format is very important, where our citizens will be able to examine everything”, Kakha Kaladze noted.
