German firm Graft have been chosen to transform a heavily trafficked Square into a ‘Pedestrian friendly’ public space at the heart of Tbilisi’s central quarter.
The proposed large pedestrian area with a continuous pavement will connect Rustaveli Avenue to the neighborhood Vera. The projects includes not only regeneration of the spaces below the square but completely new construction of art center and a new tower. New pedestrian space will enhance the quality of living and will establish a continuous trend of leaving the center away from vehicles
According to Architectural Forum’s Source, The transformation project have been prepared by several firms including : Artstudio projects, Graft, Brenner Bernard.
Meanwhile, another Radisson hotel will soon open in capital Tbilisi. A $60 million 5-star Radisson BLU Telegraph hotel is due to open in the city next year.
