Georgia have been crowned champions after the side won the 2015 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy for the first time in the Georgian rugby history.
The junior Lelos defeated Canada 49:24 in today’s final in Lisbon, Portugal. Almost every time the Georgians touched the ground, they scored a try this evening.
This win saw Georgia reaffirm their status as rising power of the world game, which will let the side compete for the first time at the World Rugby U20 Championship to be held in England in 2016.
The World Rugby U20 Trophy (known up to last year as the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy) is the annual international rugby union competition for the best second-tier under-20s national teams.
