Georgian Matsoni Raises Interest in Japan

Georgian Matsoni (Sour Milk) raised much interest at JATA 2016, tourism international exhibition-fair in Japan. National Tourism Administration of Georgia has taken part in the exhibition, jointly with Ajara Tourism and Resorts Department.

The following Georgian companies attended JATA 2016: Visit Georgia, Caucasus Travel, Concord Travel, Sakura, Georgia En Route, Georgian DMC, Explore Georgia.

For 3 days, Georgian stand  attracted visitors to taste Georgian wines and Matsoni. Workshop was held during the exhibition,where Georgia’s tourism potential was introduced in English and Japanese languages.

Representatives of Japanese tour operators attended the workshop.The Georgian stand was widely covered by Japanese TV companies too. Japanese businessmen showed interest in Georgia’s tourism potential.

International exhibition-fair in Tokyo was attended by 1161 companies from 141 countries.
