Georgian exporter companies are participating in Gulfood 2017, a leading international exhibition of food products and beverages, from February 26 to March 2. Georgian delegation’s visit was organized by Entrepreneurship Development Agency of Ministry of Economy.
In United Arab Emirates (UAE), representatives of Georgian private sector were accompanied by Deputy Minister of Economy Ketevan Bochorishvili and first deputy Agriculture Minister Nodar Kereselidze. The Georgian delegation has introduced Georgia’s exports potential at the investment forum organized by Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
At the exhibition Georgian companies introduced bilberry, mineral and spring waters, tea, fruit and vegetable juices, jams, sauces, filbert, dried fruit, laurel, and other products.
By support of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the participants were also enabled to hold B2B meetings and establish due contacts with distributors, importer companies, retail networks and representatives of other adjacent sectors.
At the events and meetings organized as part of the exhibition, Deputy Economy Minister Keti Bochorishvili described Georgia’s business environment in details, exports potential and expressed willingness to continue tight cooperation.
It is worth noting that one of the directions of Entrepreneurship Development Agency is to grow exports potential. By participation in international exhibitions and trade missions, companies are able to introduce their products on target markets, establish new contacts, deepen the existing cooperation and explore new market tendencies.
