Georgia is listed 40th out of 140 The World’s happiest (and least happiest) countries. According to index, GEORGIA achieves a Happy Planet Index Score of 31.1 and ranks 40th of all the countries analysed.
The annual Happy Planet Index, released earlier this summer, ranked 140 countries according to “what matters most – sustainable wellbeing for all”. GDP takes a back seat; instead it’s all about judging “how well nations are doing at achieving long, happy, sustainable lives”.
for life Georgia comes on 56th place, with the length of life average 74,6 years, as for the well being Georgia is listed 114th out of 140.
“Wealthy Western countries, often seen as the standard of success, do not rank highly on the Happy Planet Index,” it explains. “Instead, several countries in Latin America and the Asia Pacific region lead the way by achieving high life expectancy and wellbeing with much smaller Ecological Footprints. The Happy Planet Index provides a compass to guide nations, and shows that it is possible to live good lives without costing the Earth.”
