For the first time, Georgia has been elected to UN Women executive board for 2019-2021, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia announced.
“This membership clearly demonstrates
#GoG’s efforts to protect and promote the empowerment and rights of women and girls,” The ministry declared.
The Board consists of 41 members: 10 from African States; 10 from Asian States; 4 from Eastern
European States; 6 from Latin American and Caribbean States; 5 from Western Europe and Other
States; and 6 from top contributing countries.
