European Commission released progress report of visa liberalization, today. According to which, the second phase will come to force on the twentieth day.
Georgian citizens will be able to travel to four Schengen countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Cyprus, also with Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Georgian citizens will need visa to enter the UK and Ireland.
A visa-free regime does not give the right to work in the EU as a work permit should be obtained for this purpose
The European Commission released its fourth and final progress report on Georgia’s implementation of the VLAP on December 18.
The report was positive for Georgia and promised visa-free travel within the Schengen zone for all Georgian citizens.
The Commission published its final progress report based on the outcome of continuous monitoring and reporting carried out since the launch of the EU-Georgia Visa Liberalisation Dialogue in June 2012.
