City Hall and Investor Came to Agreement – Hotel will not Be built in Vake Park

Hotel Budapest will not constructed in Vake Park, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze noted at today’s briefing. We met with the investor on January 24 and the parties achieved an agreement, he added.

“The Vake Park has won this struggle. Yesterday I met with the investor and we managed to achieve an agreement and nothing will be built there”, Kaladze pointed out.

I would like to thank the investor for his appropriate counter-moves and this agreement.

We remind you that the Supreme Court found the appeal submitted by the Green Alterative as ungrounded. The Supreme Court approved the decision that the Chamber of Administrative Affairs of Tbilisi Court of Appeals passed on May 28, 2018. As reported, the Court of Appeals had not satisfied the appeal by the Green Alternative against the Budapest hotel construction. In turn, the Court of Appeals satisfied the appeal submitted by LLC Tiflis Kostava and Graali, which planned to build a seven-floor hotel in the recreational zone.
