British Council Announces Grant to develop Enterprise Education

The partnership fund will support the design and delivery of activities that support the development of enterprise education in programme countries (Armenia , Azerbaijan , Georgia, Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine  and Uzbekistan).

This will contribute to the reduction of unemployment by strengthening the creative industries in these countries through UK collaboration.

The grant is designed to enhance existing partnerships or foster new ones between UK Higher Education Institutions, related national bodies in the creative sector and the equivalent institutions in the programme countries.

Funding will be available up to £50,000 per project. Applications for less than this are welcome.

Applications are also welcome from city level and non-governmental organisations that support the promotion of employment in the creative sector or play a key role in a creative industry.

  • Skills development for students and young creative entrepreneurs
  • Supporting new business activation and incubation
  • Knowledge exchange

UK universities or institutions are expected to demonstrate credibility and expertise in one or more of the following four areas:

  • training and experience / capacity building
  • managing competition and awards
  • providing business incubation services
  • managing partnerships and joint programmes.

The deadline for the submission of completed applications, including all supporting documentation (application form, senior management support, and approval from each partner organisation in an email or official letter) is 23.59 UK time on 8 October 2018.

Successful applicants will be notified by 22 October 2018 and programme activity is expected to start from this day onwards.
