2 345 Citizens of Iran were Rejected to Enter Georgia in January-November

A total of 2 345 citizens of Iran were refused to enter Georgia in January-November 2018.

According to the Interior Ministry statistics, the number of citizens of Iran not allowed to cross the Georgian border has essentially increased in 2018.

Namely, in 2014 71 citizens of Iran were not admitted to Georgia, 298 ones in 2015, 30 ones in 2016, 100 ones in 2017 and 2 345 ones in 2018.

It is noteworthy that refusal statistics especially increased in the second half: 320 citizens of Iran were not admitted in August, 509 – in September and 429 – in October.
Several weeks ago the BM.Ge was told at the Interior Ministry that in most cases, citizens of Iran do not have documents in order.
