Working Group for Development of Trans-Caspian International Transport Route held Meeting

On March 12-13, a meeting of the working group on Development of Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was held at Hotel “Radisson Blu Iveria” in Tbilisi.

Representatives of logistics companies in the ports and working group member of the International Trans-Caspian Transport Route of the International Association of Railways, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine and Poland participated in the meeting.

The working group discussed ways of development of trans-Caspian international transport routes, the transport corridor tariff rates, traffic between Aktau and Baku ports in 2019. They also discussed the necessity of agreement to stimulate cargo transportation and the supply of goods.

It is noteworthy that the Agreement has been reached on the operational exchange of information to control the cargo.

At the end of the working group meeting, the relevant protocol was signed.
