UN Begins New Project- Women’s Economic Strengthening in the South Caucasus

UN Women’s New Project Launches “Women’s Economic Strengthening in the South Caucasus”

The presentation event, which will be attended by representatives of the Georgian government, donor organizations, private and civil society, will also discuss the main findings and conclusions that the CRRC-Georgia survey of women’s economic activity has revealed.

The project “Women’s Economic Strengthening in the South Caucasus” aims to support women in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia to get involved in the decision making process.

Within the framework of the project, various activities will be implemented in order to acquire the talent group of women to enhance their skills and use economic opportunities.

For this purpose, the UN Women will interfere with legislative and governmental agencies.

The project will be implemented in three regions of Georgia – Kakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Austrian Development Agency.
