The Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi is hosting 9th International Forum of Local Economic Development (LED). The workshop opened today and will last 2 days, but working day will close tomorrow, on December 8. The event is organized by Tbilisi City Hall.
The Forum is called as Modern Approaches for Urban Development. The format unites 12 thematic sessions: Reasonable Cities, Green Cities, Drawing Funds, Electronic Management, Energy Efficiency, Investments, International Relations, Public Transport, Tourism, Eastern Partnership, Infrastructure, Art Industries.
Tbilisi Mayor David Narmania told reporters that this important forum is attended by representatives of local self-governments and foreign guests and they are able to communicate in a dialogue format and exchange information on self-governance novelties.
“At the forum special accent is made on innovative directions for local economic development, electronic management in local self-government system, tourism development promotion and the instruments of local self-governments.
We will talk about general plan issues and the concept of Tbilisi, as the city of tomorrow”, Narmania said.
