“Appointment of economic attaches stresses that Georgian Authorities have intensified efforts for improvement of foreign economic policy and the country makes focus on specific issues”, Swiss Ambassador to Georgia Lukas Beglinger told BM.GE. Switzerland has been working on economic policy development for many years, he said.
“Georgia is a small country, like Switzerland and naturally, it needs to work on improving foreign economic policy. To withstand the foreign market competition, it is necessary to increase exports volume in other countries.
The existing free trade agreement will promote this process and Georgia will sign similar agreement with Switzerland too”, the Swiss Ambassador said and added that commerce attaches play a significant role in improving bilateral trade relations, because they assist Georgian companies to timely and efficiently enter foreign markers and have comprehensive information on economic developments.
