SOCAR Georgia Gas hopes that tariff review process will not prolonged by Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission.
Azer Mamedov, general director of the company told the reporters that the company is demanding revising tariff of the distribution segment, while he did not specify whether the gas tariff would rise or not.
“Consumer tariff, which determines subscribers’ taxes, consists of two components – natural gas value and distribution cost. The application is submitted on the distribution segment. We hope that the process will not be prolonged. We are ready to cooperate tightly with the Commission and provide all information and I believe that finally we should get the good results. The company has gone a long way towards consolidation through the last several years and as a result we have received over 70 retail tariffs. We hope to have unified tariff in Georgia soon. We also hope that the investments which we have made in the part of our commitment in Georgia, will reflect on the distribution tariff “, – said Azer Mamedov.
To remind, Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission started revising natural gas tariffs.
