In March 2017 deposits dollarization coefficient has insignificantly increased.
According to National Bank of Georgia (NBG), in March (as of March 17), deposits dollarization coefficient made up 70%, up from 69.8% in February 2017 and down from 70.4% in January 2017.
Unlike deposits, in March loans dollarization level declined to 61% from 62.5%. In January the mentioned indicator was 63.1%. As to retail loans dollarization coefficient, in December 2016-March 2017 dollarization coefficient shrank by about 5% and marked 48.6% (December 53.2%, January – 52.4% and February 50.9%).
We remind you that in January-March loans of about 80 million USD were converted into GEL.
