PM: 90% of Autopark will be Replace by Electric Cars in Next 10 Years

The government plans to replace the auto-park replacement plan. According to the Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, as of the plan, in the next 10 years 90% of existing auto-park in the country should be replaced with electric cars.

“Georgia will be the first country to replace its auto park in such short term. This is a very ambitious plan, but it will bring great advantages to Georgia, and will greatly value our economy “, – said the Prime Minister.

At the same time, the amendments will also be made in terms of customs duty.

“We gave preference to electro-transport, clearance is actually zero and we are going to increase the difference between the part of customs clearance, the electrical transport and the traditional traffic” – said Bakhtadze.

In addition, the government intends to support the development of the infrastructure needed for electric cars to attract more people to this type of transport.
