Today, Egypt is one of the most suitable, attractive and affordable countries for Georgians.
In the last two years, 33 thousand people visited Egypt from Georgia. The most popular travel months are December, January and March.
Due to the positive relationship and cooperation between Georgia and Egypt, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and tour operators hope to keep good relationship and offer tourists new and attractive packages for traveling.
Caucasus Business Week interviewed Mohamed Ayoub, Egyptian Hotel Association board member. Thus we are providing small piece of the interview.
What is the dynamic of Georgian tourists in Egypt?
“Last year we had 17 000 Georgian tourists; because of this we are going to increase the flights. We had only one flight from Georgia to Sharm El Sheikh and one flight from Georgia to Xurgada.
In the nearest future, the flights will be carried out two times in Sharm El Sheikh and 3 times in Xurgada per week. So totally 5 flights will be performed in a week”- said Ayoub.
What can you tell us, how profitable is Georgian tourism market for Egypt?
“It is a big value for us that we will have Georgian people in our country, this will build more relationships between both countries and of course we are targeting all markets to increase number people coming and visiting Egypt”, – noted Mohamed Ayoub.
