Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri and Sean O’Sullivan, Director General of ADB’s Central and West Asia Department have discussed cooperation issues between Georgia and Asian Development Bank at the Ministry of Finance today.
Minister of Finance expressed gratitude for the cooperation and financing the projects, which are being carried by the ADB’s funding for the development of the country – in the following important sectors, such as energy, water supply, road infrastructure. Particularly, it should be noted the bank’s involvement is very important in the financing of Rikoti road section of EastWest Highway.
As it has been noted at the meeting, visit of Asian Development Bank mission is planned early in March and expand of economic reforms are being discussed. The sides have talked on a possible alliance in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Organization (CAREC).
As Director General of ADB’s Central and West Asia Department has declared, Asian Development Bank is ready to continue successful cooperation with Georgia and increase financial support for effective infrastructural projects, which provide economic boost and country’s development.
