Kuwait low-cost airline “Jazeera Airways” will start regular flights to Tbilisi starting from June,stated Ketevan Aleksidze, director of the Georgian Association of Airports of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
According to Keti Aleksidze, negotiations with airline Jazeera was underway since March 2016.
Kuwait Airways plans to launch the aviation market in Georgia and is planning to operate three times a week on the Kuwait-Tbilisi route, but the airline considers increasing flight frequency in the future.
The Gulf countries are interested in Georgia as an important tourist destination in recent years.
Passenger traffic between Kuwait-Tbilisi increased by 45% n 2017 compared to 2016 and 53% from Gulf Arab countries.
