Innovation and Technology Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has a new chairman. Avtandil Kasradze was chosen as a result of the competition announced by the Ministry of Economy for the position of the head of the Agency. He started his job on January 16.
Avtandil Kasradze has been in charge of acting as chairman of the innovations agency for the last nine months, and since its foundation in the Agency has been working as deputy chairperson. His name in the Agency is linked to a number of legal reforms in the direction of innovation and start-up ecosystem, an introduction of access to finance startups, etc.
He holds a Bachelor in Law Faculty of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Completed Master’s degree in Lund University, Sweden, continued in the direction of international human rights law. In various years he worked at the Venice Commission, OSCE (OSCE / ODIHR) mission, Transparency International in Georgia, Ministry of Justice and Chancellery of the Government of Georgia.
