Inflation Pace Slowed Down in December

Inflation pace declined in December. However, deflation of 0,6% has been fixed m-o-m, while inflation level has amounted to 4,9% y-o-y, which is the lowest index since July.

Price reduction of 3,6% has been fixed in transport groups though the last month, which has been reflected by -0,40 percentage point on the total index of inflation. Costs are declined by 1,0% in the group of alcohol beverages, tobacco. Furniture, home decoration, house repair – prices are diminished by 0,8 percent. Food staff and non-alcohol beverages are increased in price by 3,8 percent.

Significant price growth are noticed on the following sub-groups: fruit and grape (17,3 percent); oil and fat (12,3 percent); tea, coffee and cocoa (9,7 percent);

Price boost totals to 10,5 percent in healthcare sector. Cost are basically grown on healthcare products, medical devices and appliances (242,2 percent) and ambulatory health care services (7,7 percent).

Housing, water, electricity, gas and other heating materials – price increase of 8,3 percent has been fixed on that sub-group. Costs are significantly grown on electricity, air electricity, gas and other heating materials (10,8 percent).

Costs are declined in transport sub-group by 4,2 percent. Costs are reduced on fuels and lubricants (-12,1 percent).
