Three grape processing plants are being constructed within the state program of viticulture farming cooperatives in Kakheti region, Telavi and Kvareli municipalities. The Ministry of Agriculture disseminates information.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Giorgi Khanishvili and Chairman of Agricultural Cooperative Development Agency Giorgi Misheladze visited the construction process.
“In the next year, more cooperatives will be financed in viticulture, and after several years we will have an opportunity to think not only about grape processing enterprises but also to sell branded wine produced by cooperatives, which will go on behalf of the cooperative brand on the international market”, – said the Minister of Agriculture The place is Giorgi Khanishvili.
In agricultural cooperatives participating in the state program “Chateau Akura”, “Saba” and “Gavazi’s best vineyards” have merged more than 60, and the vineyard mobilized in cooperatives is more than 70 ha.
Each of the cooperatives participating in the state program for the promotion of viticulture agricultural cooperatives will receive the necessary equipment for the first processing of 100 tons of grapes.
Members of the cooperative participating in the program will be able to benefit from the realization of the wine, except the grapes.
Within the framework of the State Program, the cooperatives will be trained on technical and methodological issues related to functioning of the wine industry as well as other specific requirements defined by the Georgian legislation.
