According to Geostat, the national statistics service of Georgia, in January-October 2018 the country exported 599.7 million USD products to EU market, while imports from EU amounted to 2.1 billion USD.
Georgia’s negative trade balance with EU countries made up 1.6 billion USD. The major exports were recorded with Bulgaria (209 million USD), Romania is second with 46.3 million USD, Spain in third with 45.5 million USD and Germany is fourth with 41.6 million USD.
The lowest exports were recorded with Luxembourg (11.8 thousand USD). Portugal is an only EU country, where Georgia has not carried out exports in the reporting period.
Georgia has negative trade balance with the majority of EU countries, excluding Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania and Malta.
