The government of Georgia will consider twoways of subsidizing within the vintage 2016 program.
According to Director of the National Wine Agency, work in the Ministry of Agricultureis underway for over a month. George Samanishvili refrains from revealing details, saying that the government should make the final decision.
He says the Agency is watching the crop yield and export volumes, however, the policy has not changed in this regard, and subsidies are plannedthis year as well. In Samanishvili’s words, the government believes that subsidies are not good, however, the industry is not ready to carry out the vintage without the state support .
