Georgia possesses due potential to apply clean energy sources to ensure its energy safety.
“Georgia is rich of water resources and the Georgian power sector mainly uses hydro resources. At the same time, Georgia owns resources to use other sources of clean energy, including bio-thermal and biomass energy resources to ensure its own energy security.
Georgia is also ready to make contribution to implementing the global goal for reducing gas emissions and air pollution.
“Georgia’s 9 cities have already prepared a sustainable energy action plan for reduction of CO2 emission so as to have clean and healthy environment by 2020”, Kvirikashvili noted the Batumi Ministerial.
