Georgia has joined the EU s search platform for state tenders. The OPENTENDER.EU launched operation today, on January 30. The platform unites information on state tenders from 35 countries.
Besides 28 EU member countries, the website provides information about tenders in Georgia, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Serbia and Armenia.
OPENTENDER.EU is part of EU research project DIGIWHIST. Objective of this project is to simplify access to public information and strengthen counter-corruption efforts in public sector.
Six European research institutes are involved in the project. Statement by Alina Mungiu-Pipidi, director for the counter-corruption European Center, reads that, besides information on fenders, the website also enables to analyze data. The new platform is free of charge.
