Finance Minister Nikoloz Gagua met with Mr. Helmut Fischer, Executive Director of Asian Development Bank. The sides emphasized the importance of successful partnership between Georgia and ADB. They reviewed ongoing and planned projects supported by the Bank in the country.
The Minister of Finance has introduced those reforms to the Executive Director of the ADB, which aim is to achieve inclusive economic growth in the country. It was noted that the ADB’s support is important for the development of municipal and urban infrastructure, energy and road construction.
Moreover, the sides noted that the Asian Development Bank’s involvement in the future reform of the education sector is important in terms of technical support and sharing experience.
According to the Executive Director of the Asian Development Bank, the Bank continues to cooperate with Georgia and expresses its support for the reforms planned by the Government of Georgia, which should ensure country’s development and inclusive economic growth.
The meeting was attended by Yesim Elhan-Kayalar, ADB Country Director for Georgia at the Ministry of Finance.
