Economy Minister: Georgia-USA Free trade Agreement will Boost Investment Inflows by 20%-30%

“We are happy that the US House of Representatives has adopted a bill in support of Georgia, which also calls for signing a free trade agreement with Georgia”, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Giorgi Kobulia said.

In this bill the US House of Representatives urges to take efficient steps for starting negotiations on signing a free trade agreement with Georgia

‘We plan to intensify our efforts in 2019”, Giorgi Kobulia noted. Consultations will be held with representatives of the US Government and business sector. This process will increase Georgia’s perception among US businessmen. This agreement will become a fundamental positive message for US investors and businessmen to make more investments in our country”, Giorgi Kobulia said. 

“It is of crucial importance for our country to attract investments. We suppose the free trade agreement will grow investment inflows form the USA by 20%-30%. We will also increase trade volumes with the USA”, Giorgi Kobulia said.
