Baku-Tbilisi-Karsi Railroad is Part of Silk Road, not Competing Section

Baku-Tbilisi-Karsi railroad is a part of Silk Road, not a competing section”, Minister of Finance Mamuka Bakhtadze noted before the Silk Road Forum commencement.

“More than 2 000 delegates are taking part in the Silk Road Forum. All serious companies or players in East-West corridor are participating in the Forum. I believe this Forum will enable to reap serious advantages. We will sign several serious agreements, including Anaklia Development Consortium will sign a very serious contract”.

“At the same time, I would like to make emphasis on the cooperation agreement with the largest Chinese container transport company and Georgian Railway. In general, this platform will enable to outline Georgia’s transit and economic potential. In general the country puts a lot of money in infrastructure: East-West route, Anaklia seaport”, Bakhtadze said.
