According to Geostat, national statistics service of Georgia, in the first quarter of 2017, averaged monthly salary of an employee marked 989 GEL, up 8.4% year on year.
The highest salary was recorded in finance sector – 1908 GEL. Housing sector is second with 1598 GEL, transport and communications ranks third with 1332 GEL. The lowest salary was recorded in education sector – 564 GEL. Agriculture sector salaries totaled 658 GEL on average.
Averaged monthly salaries saw a major rise in real estate operations with a 18.6% upturn, while salaries declined in state governance sector by 2.1%.
