In November, the inflation rate in Georgia amounted to 1.1 percent and the annual inflation rate is 6,9 percent.
According to the statistics, the change in prices in the given period has been a major influence on the following groups:
Transport: Prices in the group grew by 2.8 percent, which was reflected in the overall inflation rate of 0.39 percentage points. Prices increased for the purchase of vehicles (9.5 percent), transportation services (4,5 percent) and the use of personal transport (1,6 percent); Food and non-alcoholic beverages: prices in the group increased by 0.8 percent, which was reflected in the inflation rate at 0,26 percentage points. Prices increased in subgroups: vegetables and parsley (6.5 percent), sugar, jam and other sweets (1,4 percent), milk, cheese and eggs (1,2 percent) and oil and fat (0,7 percent).
Meanwhile, prices decreased in fruit and grapes (-9,2 percent); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco: prices increased by 1.7 percent, which was reflected in a growth of 0.12 percentage points. In the group the price rise was observed on tobacco products (1.9 percent) and alcoholic beverages (1.4 percent).
