New Georgian fruit vodka will appear on the market at the end of 2016. Grado company will bottle the alcoholic beverage at the spirits and vodka plant in Kareli, Shida Kartli Region.
The company head Giorgi Gobechia told the Business Contract that product will be mainly oriented on exports, but it will be also sold on the domestic market.
The USA is the main target market, where fruit vodka is in much demand, Gobechia said.
“Vodka production genuinely exists in Georgia, but we do not manufacture ordinary vodka. We produce fruit vodka, while all other products are made of grain or husks of grapes”, Gobechia said and added that Grado company has no competitor on the Georgian market.
The product price will be about 15 GEL. Investments of 4.5 million USD were made in the plant construction and the company buys fruit from about 800 local farmers.
