2 Billion USD will be invested for Enlargement of South Caucasian Pipelines

There will be 2 billion USD invested to enlarge the South Caucasian Pipelines project on Georgian territory. In the frame of the project, the amount of gas received from Azerbaijan will significantly increase.

Concerning this issue and the meaning of the project was discussed by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and and a regional president of British Multinational Oil and Gas Company in Azerbaijan, Gordon Birelli.

They discussed the projects which BP is implementing in Georgia at the meeting. They focused on activities implemented in the frame of second phase of Shah Deniz project. They noted that it is important to finish the construction by the end of 2019.

Gordon Birelli gave Prime Minister Information about the future plans of the company and expressed his wish to deepen the collaboration. The headquarters of Multinational Oil and Gas Company is located in London. Company has representatives in different countries. BP has been collaborating with Georgia since 1996.
