Workers of Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing Company Go on Strike

Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing company workers have gone on strike. They demand for improving the working conditions.

On February 27, a total of 120 workers went on strike.

One of the organizers of the protest rally Otar Bakhtadze told IPN that the workers demand for growing salaries and introducing a bonus system.

„JSC TbilAviaMsheni employees have gathered here and they are on strike with several demands – adequate growth in salaries complying with the performed job and introduction of bonus system. Employers promised to fulfill these demands, but 3 months have passed in vain. We have used mediation component too, but in vain. Representatives of various fields and trade unions join us and show solidarity. Now the production process has stopped. The strike will last until our demands are satisfied. The minimum wage must be 1000 GEL and the salary must grow due to qualification by 30%-70%”, Otar Bakhtadze said.
