“Forbes” Russian edition presented the rank of the formal Soviet Cities that is attractive for Russians for doing business. In the ranking, Tbilisi stays in the 9th position.
According to Russian “Forbes”, 3% of Russians are having a business in Tbilisi. In 2011, Russian entrepreneur Igor Kriukov, opened Uzbek restaurant “Fergana” in Tbilisi and he had network development plan. He stated to the local media that Georgia would have become Singapore soon. However, Kriukov closed its restaurant due to several mistakes.
Nowadays, Russian entrepreneur gives consultations concerning personnel and hotel management. According to him, Russian citizens set up businesses more frequently by opening car rental agencies, restaurants and hotels – notes Russian “Forbes”.
In the edition it is also pointed out that although in the ranking list Tbilisi exists, by looking at the unemployment rate it is quiet high – 29%.
Totally there are 20 Former Soviet Union cities in the list, including Kiev, Bishkek, Odessa, baku, Yerevan, Tallinn and Vilnius.
