The Solidarity Fund of Georgia has handed over an award to RAKIA Group for having popularized the Fund’s activities in 2014 and provided special support in mobilization of resources.
Guga Tsanava, a head of RAKIA Group: “Our cooperation with the Georgian Solidarity Fund is very important, because this fund actively assist the people who needs this support most of all. Our group considers corporate social responsibility a priority direction and we believe similar issues may be managed efficiently through cooperation with the Solidarity Fund.
Founded by the Prime-Minister’s initiative, the Solidarity Fund has mobilized 1 701 000 GEL through partnership with state departments and private companies and approved diagnostics and treatment expenditures for 58 children and young individuals. The Fund has financed the treatment of 18 children abroad, including a very expensive operation for transplanting a bone marrow.
RAKIA is reported to be among 5 companies awarded by the Solidarity Fund for special support in activities.
