The wine and alcoholic beverage international exhibitions and contests in China always raise special interest in the Georgian winemakers.
Georgian wine varieties have been taking part in the China Wine and Spirits Awards (CWSA) contest since 2014, while the competition in itself was founded 5 years ago.
Saperavi Wines of Tamada (GWS) (2013) and Chateau Mukhran (2012) have obtained twin golden medals of the CWSA Best Value 2016. The golden medal was given to the 2011 vintage Saperavi of Chateau Mukhran (Reserve du Prince), Kindzmarauli of Shumi (2014), Napareuli (GWS) Tamada (2013), as well as Muscat of Chateau Mukhran, wine of Tsinandali origins of Shumi (2014) and Tamada (2013) companies. The silver medal was given to the Gori Green of Chateau Mukhran Reserve du Prince, 2013).
CWSA is the largest and most prestigious wine and spirits contest in China. The jury is staffed by importers, distributors and sommeliers operating on Chinese and Hong Kong markets. The jury unites more than 100 experts.
