“PSP” Company: Due to New Regulations, Pensioners will Have to Live in Line for a Prescription

A member of Parliament from the ruling party and the founder of a large pharmacy network “PSP” Kakha Okriashvili expresses discontent regarding the new regulations banning the purchase of more than 5 000 kinds of drugs without a prescription.

“I think that the Ministry of Health took this decisionthoughtlessly, without a sufficient analysis of  the situation. In the end, the only result of the new regulations is that pensioners will have to spend old age in line for a prescription , “- he says.

It should also be noted that after the ban, hastily constructed medical offices with a sign “Doctor” were opened near the pharmacies. Buying   medication which sale  without a prescription is banned has become easier than ever – a man in a white coat writes a prescription almost without  a medical inspection.

It is noteworthy that  medicines should be  bought in  the same pharmacy, otherwise,  “a doctor” will not prescribe a prescription. By this method pharmacies hope to sell more drugs.
