Georgia has become an important transit point and energy corridor, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the Georgia-Switzerland business forum.
“Pipelines transporting Caspian oil and gas to Turkey and Europe cross the territory of Georgia. We have the same situation in relation to new railroad and motorway networks – these factors make Georgia an important regional center. Development of our Black Sea ports, including Anaklia deep-water seaport enhances Georgia’s role in the Silk Road route. As a result, Georgia is growing into regional center”, the Prime Minister said.
