The Georgian Pistachio Association has launched a new project – Pistachio in Our Family.
Any citizens are able to join the association and receive three seedlings for planting them in Georgia as part of the project.
“The academic board of the association will supervise seedlings development in various regions of Georgia. The monitoring will enable us to clarify what territories are appropriate for pistachio culture. The project is to foster spreading this culture and upgrading public perception”, the Georgian Pistachio Association representatives noted.
The pistachio garden is the first project that the Georgian Pistachio Association has implemented in Georgia. The project is being carried out even today and several criteria must be satisfied to
participate in the project. After conclusion of an agreement with gardeners, they will receive vouchers for purchase of seedlings and the association will provide respective consultations for arranging gardens.
