Georgian Olive company has started olive harvest in the village of Saqobo.
In the village, olive plantations were arranged on 300 hectares 7 years ago. Olive processing plant opened in 2016 by Dutch-Turkish investments as part of the state program for Co-financing Agriculture Products Processing Plants.
Total investment value of the project is about 5 million GEL and it was implemented by businessman Giorgi Svanidze.
The oil processing plant has been equipped with modern technologies and it is able to manufacture top quality competitive products.
Olive oil and soap manufactured through cold distillation are key products of the company and they are sold on domestic and foreign markets.
“Over the past 5-6 years tens of successful enterprises were established as part of the target state programs. This enterprise manufactures the core product of olive, processes olive, which is very popular in Georgia and abroad”, Iuri Nozadze, deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture, noted.
