“By the end of 2017 number of electric vehicles will grow to 1000 ones in Georgia”, Giorgi Zviadadze, head of Technology and Innovation Agency told Business Morning program.
One of the Georgian companies have signed an agreement with NISSAN and obtained the right to sell demonstration vehicles in Georgia.
The agency also addresses to persons interested in installation of electric vehicle recharging station and shows readiness to help them in implementing their ideas.
“Five years ago I bought an electric vehicle and only 3 persons owned the same model in Georgia. Mindset of an EV owner changes and this mood should be experienced. According to statistics, there are more than 300 EVs in Georgia. Regretfully, 95% of them are right-steering. One the initiative of our agency calls for arranging a joint hotline on EV issues and we will promote this sector on all levels”, Zviadadze said.
