New enterprise producing the fruit spirits is opened in Agara.
An investment in an amount of 4.5 million USD utilized to establish new enterprise was established under the umbrella of the Preferential Agro Credit Programme. Factory equipped with modern Italian devices purchases non-standard fruit and manufactures 86-proof spirits. According to the Prime Minister selling of non-standard fruit was a problem and the new factory will be important in this sense.
“It is noteworthy that the enterprise utilized agricultural credit with an interest rate of 1%. This is beneficial for motivating similar ventures. Hence, an initiative of the private entrepreneurs and correct steps taken by the state enable us to reach such results,” – Prime Minister noted.
Most of the products will be exported. Laboratory ensuring compliance of the goods with the international standards is operating at the factory. The daily capacity of the venture is around 50 tons of fruit used for production of 3 tons of high-quality spirits. To note, 50 individuals are permanently employed by the company.
